ABOUT:
Unique gypsy band with geometric setting holding a chunky oval old mine cut totaling around half a carat in buttery glowing 18k gold with some warm to slightly rosy hues but reads as that rich antique yellow gold. Very secure prongs making this one ready for daily wear.
Found in England, the hallmarks were lost from a sizing except for the old maker's mark. Sold to me as 18k and tested to confirm.
Antique box is not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 8 1/4. The center diamond is about 5mm north south. It weighs 3.7 grams. Estimated total carat weight of around .5 carat, I would not remove the stone for exact measurements.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical antique diamond with some very faint natural inclusions seen mostly under magnification. Only very slightly eye visible if at all (not to my eyes which are in their 40s! : ). No damage, sturdy piece.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any glaring issues above and they are all still wearable.
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
