ABOUT:

Here is another one that can be worn a bunch of different ways.

Awesome and heavy French antique 25g 18k solid gold long necklace with hexagonal barrel clasp decorated on each of the six beveled sides with geometric and little floral details with colors of blue and green.

This one came from Paris - it has the oooooold style circle links, hand made with a great antique look. It measures a little over 43 inches long so over 3 1/2 feet of linear solid gold 18k chain. The clasp allows it to open end to end so it is very versatile for your neckmess or neckstack, with the clasp to the front as a pendant, hanging to the side or towards the back. It has a wonderful shimmer, shine and a rich buttery antique patina that just glows.

This can be worn single and long, or doubled and shorter in your neckmess / neckstack. When doubled, you can adjust the chain to equal lengths or draped, or short and long, etc. It even fits me wrapped triple and short around the neck like a multi chain choker. I can also wear it wrapped around the wrist as a shimmering multi chain bracelet. Please note the measurements though as we all come in wonderfully different shapes and sizes.

Found in France, this was meant for my personal collection as I love these older circle link chains, but I just have a "pensee a moi" clasp chain so I had to let this one go.

Nice length and drapes beautifully. This is an antique piece that I acquired in France from the 1800s early Victorian era. These pieces are becoming more and more scarce, as these folk traditional pieces fell out of use in the early 1900s.

French hallmarks for 18k on the loops. Antique boxes / items in displays in photos are not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 24.93 grams. It is about 43 inches in length stretched end to end. The little barrel clasp pendant is about 19mm from loop to loop. The circle link are about 3.7mm wide.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

There is loss to the enamel on the clasp to the underlying gold so the coloring is not complete. There is one weld that is very neatly done but has a bit of a darker patina on the back side. Other than that, very nice quality considering age of around 175 years. Do note though that the circle links braid and twist randomly. This is not a defect, it is how these pieces were fabricated and have always been this way. So while it is possible to untwist it so the circle links lie flat, once worn they do not stay that way, instead creating a sort of braided or twist pattern that is not uniform and is more freeform in nature. Again that isn't really a condition note as it was made this way and has always been this way, but something to consider as I wanted to make you aware it doesn't lie flat or have a perfectly uniform twist pattern. : )

Please also note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
