ABOUT:
Here's a nice extra wide antique band with soft and delicious patina. It sits nice and close on the finger but with a gorgeous glowing coverage at 7.7mm wide.
Inside we have the antique hallmarks, nice and deep stamps for 14k gold and the maker. Along we that is an engraving / personalization in the old hand engraved Victorian font that adds a lovely provenance.
It reads: "CJM to LF" - that is if I am reading the old font correctly.
Antique box / props not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 1/2 to the center. Fit is closer to 6 to 6 1/4 due to the width of the band displacing the finger.
Weight 4.45 grams
7.7mm wide.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
There is a darker seam inside but it is not really noticeable from the outside or while wearing so it must have been part of its fabrication. Some surface wear but a gorgeous piece. The edges are a bit "edgy" feeling from age and having worn thinner. It is not flexible or tinny feeling but sits low to the finger and the edges can be felt when you run you finger across the edge. I do not find it uncomfortable to wear in the list but something to consider if worn too tightly on a finger. Stacking would also assist with this.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
