ABOUT:
Ornate link French Victorian era chain. Each link is scalloped with openwork little beaded swirls and center rivet design. Really wonderful detail to each of the chain links.
Found in France, this piece has the antique hallmarks used primarily in the 1800s and discontinued by the early 1900s which I love to find to help confirm age. There are several stamps indicating all parts solid gold, along with a goldsmith stamp. Lovely patina with a buttery glow. Highly sought after as this special coloring cannot be found on new gold jewelry. So lovely!
This one is striking worn alone but adds a beautiful texture and design layered with other chains as well.

MEASUREMENTS:
It weighs 13 grams. It is 17 inches long. The links are each 15x7mm.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No notable damage, it's beautiful. Amazing condition considering age of over 125 years.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
