ABOUT:

This one is for the lover of vintage diamonds and their quirks!
We know that no two old cut stones are ever alike, having been cut in much more limited supply compared to the millions of carats of modern machine cut diamonds produced each year now. These have stood the test of time! We love them because they are unique, sustainable and conflict free.

I love this setting with the hand engraved details on the north and south edges of the ring shoulders. There are four old mine single cut diamonds on each side for added sparkle. The main diamond is about .88 carat and held securely in excellent prongs while still maintaining an overall lower profile. The diamond has a nice whiteness and the excellent setting is sturdy and ready for regular wear but the diamond is included so it is priced accordingly. With the glittery accent stones it comes to about 1 carat total weight in diamonds.

Found in France with their hallmark for platinum.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
It is currently a size 6. It is 4.5mm tall off the finger with the high crown of the diamond. It weighs 2.1g.

I do not remove my stones from their settings for exact measurements but the diamond measures about 5.8mm and is a deeper cut, it calculates to about 0.88 carat estimated. The little old single cuts are about 1.4mm each bringing the ring up to about 1 carat total weight in diamonds.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
I don't rely heavily on the Four C's for vintage and antique stones but sold to me as G/H in color and SI2 in clarity.
As mentioned previously this vintage diamond is included with two carbon specks, one over the culet and the other just off center. It is not plain to see, I actually can't pick it up with my eyes which are in their forties but modern grading would say it is eye visible.
It's still a quite lively stone with an active sparkle and I adore the setting. Sturdy setting, the prongs are good. The stone is in great condition with no chips or nicks.

I enjoy making my customers happy and matching unique pieces with new homes. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! It means a lot to me that you are visiting my shop! : )

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
