ABOUT:
I usually go for older pieces but I love finding these vintage diamond bands that are such timeless and classic pieces. This one is eye clean and bright white in color with eight diamonds that are older brilliant cuts. Not as old as transitional cuts but definitely cut before modern day technology.
Nice quality, really bright white in color with a great fire.
It's almost a full half hoop to where you can see the stones almost extend to the halfway point when you view the ring from the side off the hand. While wearing, the eight stones entirely cover the top of the finger to the adjacent fingers so it graces the top of your finger with sparkle.
This one can add the sparkle layered with another gold band, or stacked multiple deep with other diamond bands, each slightly different. It's also quite elegant worn alone.
A sturdy one as well with the setting in good shape, the linear gold straps sit between each pair of diamonds so the piece appears as all yellow gold.
Faint 14k hallmark remains inside.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
A snug size 7 1/4. The diamonds are each about 3.4mm. Estimated carat weight is about 1.3 carat, it was sold to me as 1.5 carats but I double checked it and believe it's a bit under that.
2.6mm tall off the finger.
It weighs 2.8grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The diamonds are bright and for the most part eye clean with just a few speck inclusions, no dark or glaring carbon and nothing that jumps out. The setting is in good shape.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
