Selling an assortment of mostly antique, and a few vintage fine jewelry pieces. More new listings each week from my last inventory trip to Europe so please feel free to follow here or on Insta!

ABOUT:
A vintage to Art Deco period solitaire ring with transitional cut diamond in a bezel setting. The sturdy bezel holds the stone in a cupped setting nested into the sturdy 9k gold shank which has a rosy patina.  The cupped bezel serves as an illusion setting, being crafted in white gold to surround the diamond and make the ring face larger.

The diamond is eye clean but has a more muted sparkle due to the closed back setting.

Exact carat weight unknown as I would not remove it but it is about 5.5mm in diameter so it faces up around .67 carat or 2/3 carat.  This is just measuring the exposed part of the stone, which widens out an unknown amount in the bezel.

Comfortable ring face with the elegant bezel setting that remains low profile so it won't catch on things.  The piece has some nice height at the sturdy shoulders.

Stamped with the numerical hallmarking system used in Europe, in this case 375 for 9k gold.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size 7 3/4
Weight 2.9g
The ring face is 7.5mm north south and stands about 4.8mm tall off the finger.
The diamond is about 5.5mm in diameter, so it faces up at about .67 carat.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No damage, chips or cracks.  Some age within the closed back setting showing some warmth and cloudy spots.  While the piece has a more muted sparkle and color, it is not dull or lifeless.  It does brighten up in outdoor light and can read a bit more gray in indoor lighting as seen in the photos.  And it certainly has no large areas of rusty or muddy foil.  The diamond itself is eye clean.   Not recommended for 24/7 wear as these closed back settings should avoid getting wet.  That being the only caveat as, for an older ring, this one is super sturdy and wearable and ready for regular wear.

Please note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.

Please also note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
