ABOUT:

Unique shapes with a fun pop of color! I love the versatility and stackability of gypsy bands, especially the chunky ones that also make a statement alone, and this one is quite special. I have found it somewhat uncommon to find Emerald gypsy bands, (I most often find them with sapphires or just diamonds) so I was thrilled to find this one not only with an emerald but with the unique trillion cut diamonds (totaling .85 carat) on each side.

Really striking geometry with the octagonal cut emerald and the triangular cut diamonds, all bezel set and raised in a very chunky vintage setting.

Hallmarked for French 18k gold with goldsmith stamp, it has a nice and sturdy hand feel weighing nearly 12 grams. It is pretty fabulous in color and a lot of fun to wear. A great unisex design.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 3/4, there is an additional flexible band on each side inside the ring. The purpose of these can be for sizing, or arthritic fingers, but also as may be the case with this ring – it is to provide weight and a hold at the base of the finger since the piece is top heavy, so it doesn't spin sideways while wearing. It can easily be removed by any jeweler, and especially if the buyer plans to have the piece sized.
The ring face is 9.7mm north to south tapering towards the back and stands 5.2mm off the finger.
It weighs a Very sturdy 11.8 grams.
The diamond are about 5mm each totaling around .85 carat total weight in diamonds and the emerald is about 7.9x7.5mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

All my pieces are preowned and in estate condition.

This is not the ring for those who like their vintage pieces to look like new. The emerald has abrasions all over the table facet giving the facets a nibbled, matte finish in the light. There is also a deep scratch with nibbles through it across one corner of the table. Face on in ambient light, you really notice more the gorgeous green color but when you turn the stone to catch the surface in a reflection you can see the abrasions. I tried to highlight this in the majority of the photos.
Priced accordingly and sold as is. I am actually listing it around break even after fees because my eyes which are in their 40s didn't notice the abrasions in the low light when I purchased it - whoopsie! I guess I was blinded by the weight, color and geometry.
Sorrows sorrows, but we see this sometimes with preowned jewelry - Can't win them all ; )
I would think the surface could be polished, but something to discuss with your local jeweler as it can be cost prohibitive if the stone needs to be removed and sent off.

Some natural inclusions to the emerald of course. The diamonds also have small natural inclusions including one with some tiny carbon needles and wisps and the other with two smatterings of tiny carbon specks. these are not glaring because they are very small. There are no dark spots to the gold, it was just difficult to photograph because it is so shiny and mirrored that it reflects its surroundings. Fun one to wear and stack, exceptional coloring. Super sturdy, high quality vintage setting in 18k solid gold.

Please also note that I take some photos / videos in the sunshine because it captures the lovely color and sparkle, but it also highlights any surface wear, scratches, abrasions, buildup or inclusions that can catch the light, making these things appear worse than they would with normal day to day wear. : ) Hopefully the pics in all lightning conditions help as they serve as part of the description.

But as with all my estate pieces - Please note this is not a mint condition item. I have additional photos/video besides those allowed here so feel free to request additional.

Thanks so much for looking at my items!
