ABOUT:
An eye catching glowing vintage solitaire ring with a diamond in a timeless bezel setting. So smooth and comfortable to wear with the diamond surrounded in gold, sitting lower to the finger with domed shoulders leading up to the ring face.
Stamped with the numerical hallmark used in Europe, in this case AU 585 for 14k gold along with a leaf and a makers stamp.
Makes a timeless engagement ring, adds geometry and sparkle to a ring stack. It layers really wonderfully with other pieces. And ready to be worn every day with the diamond set in the sturdy bezel.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 6 1/2
Ring face: 6.25mm north south for the bezel, and 3.6mm tall off the finger.
Weight: 3g
The diamond is about 5.3mm and widens out further an unknown amount in the bezel setting so it is difficult to determine measurements but it is at the very least .55 carat. This is an estimate as I would not remove the stone from the setting for exact measurements.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The diamond has some natural inclusions. Some frosty crystal formations with a smattering of tiny carbon smaller than a pinhead specks. One crystal formation on one edge carries up to the surface leaving a very small indented natural inclusion, this is not eye visible. The diamond is bright white and sparkly, so none of this is glaring and not any large dark inky spots. It does not appear salt and pepper. The carbon is only slightly eye visible and the frost eye visible if you are seeking it out, but with normal wear it is not as evident. I always describe everything I see under magnification though and you can utilize the zoom feature which highlights by 20 times view anything that is present and makes it much more apparent than it will be in real life. It is not a dull or lifeless stone in any way. Very stable, sturdy, ready to wear and comfortable!
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
