Back from my inventory trip to Europe with so many hand picked one at a time finds! More examples seen in the group photo which also helps with scale : ). Feel free to check out my Instagram to see posts about the trip and where these pieces came from!
ABOUT:
Believe me when I tell you I wore this chain 24/7 alllllll over Spain and France. While it looks dainty and minimalist it turned out to be quite durable! I wore it with phone and purse straps around my neck, along with sweaters and raincoats, slogging along through the cold drizzle, running through the train stations, leaning on the train window to catch a teensy tiny nap. It was one of those trips where I was always on the go and this one was my constant companion. While I wanted to wear all the diamonds too, I usually keep it minimalist when I'm using public transport. This one I really enjoyed! It seems to go with every outfit. Dressy and perhaps layered with Perpignan garnets for my business meetings, or with corduroys and a casual top when walking the markets. I love it and it comes with many happy memories of Spain and France so if it doesn't sell well, I'm happy to continue enjoying it.
It's crafted in 14k gold and looks like a cable or wire. Skinny gauge so again very minimalist. I bought it in Canada from a vintage jewelry place when my Europe flight was cancelled and I had a day there unexpectedly.
The clasp is quite genius because the wire was fabricated with a twist to provide tension to keep itself closed. So you turn against that tension to insert the little tongue of the clasp into the catch, and then the tension of the chain tightens the little bead rivet into the slot and it holds itself shut that way all day, 10 miles a day on foot in my case without issue.
Also note the teeny tiny tongue allows you to swap pretty much any pendant on and off it very easily. You could even layer on multiple charms or pendants where it seems like they float there on the skinniest of wire chains.
It is stamped 14k on the clasp.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
15 3/4 inches not including the little tongue that nests into the catch.
Width is just about 1mm. I couldn't get it to weight accurately on my little scale, somewhere around 3-4 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Typical preowned condition, a little wear to the clasp functions perfectly and I really put it to the test I tell ya! No ripples kinks or dents.
Thanks so much for looking at my items!
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).
Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
