ABOUT:
Combination color and sparkle with ornate engraved details on the vertical edge of each side of the ring face. So pretty! A wonderful layering piece. I enjoyed layering this one with ornate gold bands, with diamond bands to add color, or even with a solitaire. The rubies have a red rose color with highlights with a bit a pinker glow when in direct light.
I always enjoy seeing hand engravings on my pieces too, just that little added detail that appears when you view the piece from the side.
Found in the UK with hallmarks for 9k, Birmingham, date stamp 1978.
MEASUREMENTS:
A snug Size 7 1/4
The ring face is 3.2mm north to south. Weighs 2.4g. The center stones are about 1.7mm each.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The little bead prongs are in good condition. Sturdy shank too. Two rubies are chipped and the diamonds appear somewhat frosty overall but the stones are small so it is not really glaring to the naked eye.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
