ABOUT:
Ever popular diamond tennis bracelet in yellow gold. These are such great staple pieces because you can dress them up or down. I purchased this in Paris on my last inventory sourcing trip and enjoyed wearing it while speed walked along the Seine between buying appointments : ).
This French vintage piece is crafted in 18k yellow gold with 40 diamonds set in circular bezels that wrap all the way around and hide the clasp. Totals over seven carats total weight in natural diamonds.
I usually go for old cut diamonds but I was trying to source a good vintage diamond bracelet for my sister in law's jewelry bucket list. I sourced a few options and we found the perfect fit for sis which means this popular linear beauty (that she and I both love but could only choose one : ) is now available in the shop. This is a nice one in that the fabrication doesn't allow it to roll on the wrist, so the diamonds are always sparkling face up.
Crafted in 18k solid gold. It has the French hallmark for 18k gold on the tongue insert of the clasp.
The hidden push button hidden clasp has two latches that clips closed on each side to make sure the clasp can never open on its own. Always nice when these valuable pieces have the additional safety measures.
40 diamonds, all bright and lively. No dark carbon or glaring inclusions. Just a versatile ready to wear staple. Nice fabrication the way the diamonds are protected in the glowing 18k gold bezels.
Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos.
MEASUREMENTS:
7 inches in length. The diamonds are about 3.6mm each, some a bit larger, but around .18 carat each. With the 40 diamonds it goes upwards of 7 carats. The diamonds in their bezel settings are 4.4mm north south on the wrist. Depths of the settings are 4.3mm off the wrist.
Bracelet Weight is 16.3 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Clasp and safety clips function well. Faint natural inclusions to the diamonds only under magnification, some specks or there. Nothing really seen by the eye, no detectible carbon, none with large swaths of frost all the way through so it is of nice quality. Tiny bit of a gray hue contributed in part by the bezel setting (compared to a prong setting that props up the stones to catch the light) but the bezel setting also contributes to the design and wearability. It is a bright and glittery sparkler. A bit of wear to the setting as expected for a pre owned vintage piece but it is sturdy and ready to wear. Beautiful alone or in a wriststack.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
