The perfect ring for Christmas with an engraved wreath on the front!
Okay, maybe it is more of a laurel leaf garland but it could definitely pass for a Christmas wreath!
Carved carnelian intaglio set into a round bezel. French antique piece in 18k gold. No hallmarks remain which is common for French pieces but sold to me as such which is the standard there and tested.
Beautiful burnt Sienna color with slight translucence when off the finger.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box not included.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6 1/2. The ring face is 9.6mm diameter.
CONDITION NOTES:
All my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. There is wear to the bezel from age so the gold is uneven. This is not glaring and really only seen if you are seeking it out and the stone is still completely secure as it takes 100 years to wear away but you can see that evidence of age. Very legible but with some surface wear and one deeper scratch with a few nicks.
The edge of the shank is blunt from wear and the inside edge of the round bezel is also blunt. It can rub against the finger so do note that if you are selective about how a piece feels. Once on the finger, it wears well, I only noticed it when sliding off and on but I suppose it may also depend on how tightly it is worn on the finger.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
